80,000 Nm³/h RTO + 10,000 Nm³/h Rotary Concentrator

Exhaust Gas Sources and Composition

This project primarily treats VOC emissions from 1 RTR pilot line and associated mixing and coating rooms in the production facility.

  • Pilot line exhaust: ~11,000 m³/h
  • Mixing/coating room exhaust: ~2,700 m³/h

Main Components:

Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), propylene glycol monomethyl ether (PGME), methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), etc., with an average mixed concentration of ~2,800 mg/m³.

Design Solution

Based on the client’s facility conditions, the project deploys:

  • 1 × 80,000 Nm³/h Rotary RTO
  • 1 × 10,000 Nm³/h Rotary Concentrator Rotary Concentrator

Process Flow:

  • The first two high-concentration drying ovens from the RTR pilot line discharge directly into the Rotary RTO for incineration.
  • The remaining five low-concentration drying exhaust gases are cooled through heat exchange cooling before being mixed with emissions from the mixing/coating rooms, then fed into the Rotary Concentrator Rotary Concentrator for concentration, and then sent to the RTO.
  • Energy recovery: Heat exchanged from the latter five ovens and RTO-purified air is used to preheat incoming air for the RTR pilot line, significantly reducing energy consumption.
