From May 20 to 22, 2026, the 8th National Conference on Transformation, Upgrading, and High-Quality Development of China's Fine Chemical Industry was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia. The conference focused on key challenges across the industry value chain and technological innovation bottlenecks, promoting the implementation of continuous production technologies, advanced automation systems, information technologies, unmanned operations, and high-end safety and environmental protection equipment. The event aimed to accelerate industrial innovation, cultivate new productive forces, and support the high-quality transformation and development of the fine chemical industry.

Innovative environmental protection equipment was one of the major topics of this conference. YURCENT Environmental was invited to participate and presented its breakthrough achievements in heavy-duty anti-corrosion Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer technology for solving two long-standing challenges in chlorinated waste gas treatment: corrosion caused by hydrochloric acid dew point condensation and ammonium salt blockage. The presentation attracted significant attention from industry experts and attendees.

Corrosion and blockage have long been regarded as the two most critical challenges in the thermal oxidation treatment of chlorinated waste gas. Hydrochloric acid dew point corrosion continuously attacks metal components from within, while ammonium salt crystals can accumulate and solidify like concrete, blocking gas passages throughout the system. As a result, many facilities are forced to shut down frequently for cleaning, bear high replacement costs for damaged components, or even reduce operating loads to maintain production.

To fundamentally solve these issues, YURCENT Environmental developed a comprehensive solution at three different levels:

Anti-Corrosion: Aerospace-Grade Materials for Intrinsic Corrosion Resistance

In low-temperature gas flow zones where corrosion risks are highest, YURCENT has innovatively replaced conventional metal materials with aerospace-grade special polymer composite materials.

These materials possess inherent resistance to acids and alkalis, fundamentally eliminating hydrochloric acid dew point corrosion. Unlike traditional solutions that rely on protective coatings or sacrificial anodes, this technology provides corrosion resistance throughout the entire service life of the equipment.

Anti-Blockage: Thermal Field Reconstruction and Self-Cleaning Design

The root cause of ammonium salt crystallization is the existence of localized temperature zones that fall within the crystallization window.

Through advanced flow field simulation and optimized heat storage media arrangement, YURCENT eliminated low-temperature dead zones and removed the conditions necessary for ammonium salt formation at the source. At the same time, an integrated online self-cleaning system was incorporated into the design, allowing any small amount of salt accumulation under extreme operating conditions to be removed without shutting down the equipment.

Long-Term Validation: More Than 12 Months of Continuous Operation

The report presented operational data from multiple industrial installations. In waste gas treatment applications containing complex components such as chlorine, nitrogen, and sulfur compounds, the systems have achieved continuous and stable operation for more than 12 months.

Compared with conventional solutions, maintenance costs have been reduced by over 60%, while operational reliability has been significantly improved.
