1. Flameless RTO Technology

Flameless RTO, also known as FRTO, refers to a process where natural gas and VOC exhaust gas are pre-mixed in a certain proportion to form a combustible gas mixture of specific concentration before entering the RTO. This mixture then undergoes flameless regenerative combustion within the RTO. The Rto Burner only ignites during startup and heating; during normal operation, the burner does not ignite, relying on a certain exhaust gas concentration to achieve "self-sustaining operation".

Characteristics of Flameless RTO:

  •  Fast combustion speed
  •  Uniform air/fuel gas mixing
  •  Uniform combustion chamber temperature with minimal fluctuations

Flameless RTO Extends the Service Life of Regenerative Bricks
Flameless RTO reduces the number of burner starts, minimizing thermal shock to the regenerative ceramics and thereby extending their service life.

Flameless RTO Does Not Generate NOx:
In Flameless RTO, fuel is supplied upstream before the RTO inlet to increase the inlet concentration. The burner is not operational, enabling flameless combustion with a uniform temperature field. The combustion environment is oxygen-rich, preventing the formation of thermally generated NOx. 

Flameless RTO is More Energy Efficient:
During normal operation of the Flameless RTO, the burner does not ignite, and the combustion air fan operates at the minimum air volume (low flow, high static pressure state) to prevent flashback. Under these conditions, the combustion air volume is only 20% of that required during normal burner operation. Compared to conventional RTO burners, which draw combustion air from the atmosphere (requiring heating from ambient temperature to 800°C), supplying fuel upstream of the RTO saves natural gas.
