01 Project Introduction

A pesticide chemical group company in Shandong is a technology-oriented enterprise engaged in agricultural chemicals and fine chemicals. Its core business focuses on pesticides, covering four major product series including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and seed treatment agents. During the production process, a large amount of VOCs waste gas is generated.

02 Waste Gas Parameters

Main pollutants include: methanol, toluene, xylene, petroleum ether, triethylamine, methanethiol, DMF, isopropanol, dibutylamine, 200# solvent oil, isobutyraldehyde, 3-pentanone, acetic anhydride, sulfur-containing and chlorine-containing organic compounds, etc.

Waste gas concentration: ≤6000 mg/m³.

03 Design Solution

The project air volume is approximately 50,000 m³/h. The waste gas temperature is ambient, and the waste gas pressure is atmospheric.

Considering both safety and emission-compliance requirements, a 50,000 m³/h heavy-duty anti-corrosion Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer was adopted as the core equipment for waste-gas treatment.

04 Project Advantages

The project adopts an advanced rotary valve RTO with a purification efficiency of up to 99.5% and a thermal efficiency of up to 95%.

Special aerospace-grade polymer composite materials are applied in the low-temperature areas of the RTO, fundamentally solving corrosion issues caused by acidic pollutants.

The system automatically monitors the blockage condition of regenerative ceramics and performs online automatic cleaning to avoid blockage and unplanned shutdown.

  • Precise Furnace Temperature Control Technology

The bottom-layer temperature of the regenerative chamber is monitored in real time, and the furnace temperature is precisely controlled through a spray system.

  • Patented End-Face High-Temperature Valve Technology

End-face sealing high-temperature valves are adopted, featuring lower leakage rates, smaller flow resistance coefficients, and stronger flow capacity, significantly improving system safety.

  • Advanced Safety Control Technology

Equipped with 28 core safety measures, the system fundamentally eliminates safety hazards and ensures long-term stable operation.

  • Highly Automated Control Technology

The entire system supports fully automatic operation and can achieve unattended operation with convenient and reliable control.

05 Operating Performance

The project has been commissioned and put into operation successfully. After treatment, the VOCs emission concentration has consistently remained ≤30 mg/m³, outperforming the emission standard and delivering significant environmental benefits.

The temperature difference between the RTO inlet and outlet is ≤30°C, greatly reducing natural gas consumption during operation and making the system more energy-efficient.

No corrosion has been observed in the low-temperature areas, demonstrating the outstanding anti-corrosion performance of the aerospace-grade polymer composite materials.

The project adopts Yurcent’s “TOPTANK” series RTO, featuring high system integration and continuous stable operation.
